    Manifesting Leaves

    Hi, I'm Nalin

    And these are my emergent leaves. I'm really excited to share how I make them.

    Plant Based

    The first step is to grow beautiful things. Then I miticulously photograph a leaf and turn it into an organic form.

    Intricate Design

    I use a pretty cool technical stack to create a 3d model of my leaf. Then I do it 57 more times for a typical ring design (to make it available in 19 sizes and 3 metal choices).

    Lost Wax Cast

    These models are then 3d printed into wax masters, and cast into your choice of metal using the lost wax casting technique. As with the rest of my process casting is done here in the USA.

    Finish and Polish

    I partner with local artists and jewelers in order to bring my designs to life. Generally I make liberal use of finishes such as liver of sulfur in order to oxidize pieces and bring out the recesses.
