The Goeppertia Insignis (also called Rattlesnake Plant, Prayer Plant, or Rattlesnake Calathea) is a marantaceae that enjoys moderate light. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, this Goeppertia Insignis prefers high humidity and loves rich and well-draining soil (like a mixture of orchid bark, perlite, and peat). In warmer areas she will thrive outside (in shade) if given a chance but can be grown as a houseplant with sufficient humidity.
